Since 1999, our teams have provided design and implementation services for literally dozens of projects at HP Pavilion, home of the NHL’s San Jose Sharks, as well as other related facilities.
The center-hung digital display shows in-game video, show media, dynamic advertising and scoring information, all housed in a totally custom stainless steel structure featuring complex curves. The project also included the 360 degree LED fascia display, relocation and upgrades to the control room, and the design and implementation of a new show control system.
As part of a major redevelopment of a severely under performing hotel and casino site, our team created a vision for a completely unique mixed-use development in downtown Las Vegas. The concept centers around the notion of an outdoor entertainment district featuring hotels, restaurants, clubs, gaming, and low-rise residential, promoting bar hopping and on-street activity. The project includes streetscape design that connects downtown to The Strip.
Dr. David Luce is a well-known physician located in Boulder, CO. His practice provides a unique, measurable approach to wellness through the analysis of blood chemistries and physiology. Our team provided a WordPress-powered web presence for the practice, including visual identity development, brand strategy, and content writing.
Digital advertising pendants at HP Pavilion in San Jose, CA. 16 stainless steel overhead enclosures, 32 video wall faces, 192 individually-addressable LCD displays powered by 32 networked media players, all run from a centralized show control system that integrates with the center-hung scoreboard (2007), bowl fascia LED (2007), digital menuboards (2010), new digital dasherboard LEDs (2011), and an exterior LED marquee (2003). Display content includes static and dynamic advertising, high-definition game video, real-time scoring and stats, concessions and retail promotion, trivia, contests, and upcoming events.
“We are very pleased and excited to add these two noteworthy enhancements to our digital media network inside the building,” said Rich Sotelo, Vice President of Building Operations. “The power of the system is unmatched in the industry, taking advantage of multiple technologies and the Daktronics Show Control System to make game day presentations all they can be, showing high definition video, real time statistics, and moments of exclusivity. All these displays working together, in sync, throughout the building, provide a truly powerful presentation.”
A 5.2 mile trail through the heart of downtown San Jose, California, Guadalupe River Park & Gardens is the definition of “urban oasis.” Initially conceived as a best in class urban flood protection project, the undertaking quickly evolved into a significant example of urban planning at it’s best. Wayfinding and interpretive graphics exist seamlessly throughout the park, welcoming visitors and providing a rich history of San Jose and the park.
Working in collaboration with Michael Manwaring and the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Jose, our team developed the complete signage system, including identification signage, wayfinding maps, dedication pedestals, interpretive and environmental graphics, and regulatory signage guidelines. Our services included facilitation of community and stakeholder input, project management, site analysis, cost estimating, concept design through design engineering, and construction oversight.
This project has been awarded the California Redevelopment Agency Award of Excellence.
